World’s Best Skate Park Designers Return to Wyong To Present Design Options For New Skate Place
Convic have collated all the information from the first workshops and online survey to come up with three concept designs for the regional skate place being built at Bateau Bay.
Council’s Landscape Architect, Mr Boyd McMillan, is looking forward to seeing what design options Convic has come up with.
“They had a lot of great feedback from the community on what they would like to see in the new $2.25 million skate place,” Mr McMillan said.
“We had almost 500 participants take part in our first round of workshops and online survey and they ranged from beginners to professional riders.
“It wasn’t just riders from the Central Coast either, we had feedback from participants who live in Newcastle, Sydney and even Queensland and Victoria.
“There were skateboarders, BMX riders, scooter riders, roller derby competitors and more!
“This park has the potential to be the best in the region – even the State – and we want the community on board and that’s why we have brought in Convic.
“Convic are known world-wide as the best in the business and are coming back to Bateau Bay PCYC to present three concept design options based on community feedback.
“As a rider myself, I can’t wait to see the three options the experts at Convic have created.”
