The Entrance Surf Club Calls On Wyong Council To Make Good On Sand Promises

David Mehan, Member for The Entrance today joined with members of The Entrance Surf Life Saving Club calling on Wyong Shire Council to begin beach repair works to The Entrance sooner rather than later.

Wyong Council has promised to transfer sand from dredging operations in The Entrance Channel to The Entrance beach to combat ongoing erosion problems.

Members of The Entrance Surf Life Saving Club are worried that if the sand is not delivered soon erosion to the beach will become a much larger problem into the future.

“I’m happy to be here with Members of The Entrance SLSC,” Mr Mehan said.

“We need to see some action from Council in this area. The reality is that the longer we leave this to wait the bigger the problem is going to become.

“Council have come half way in promising the sand for The Entrance Beach, which is a great first step, but we need a time frame for when the sand works are going to take place.”
