Council’s Section Manager Library Services, Ms Andrea Edwards, said this iconic publication combines incredible photography with personal accounts.

John Gaydon & The Steam Era

“John has travelled the world capturing the stories and images of the steam era,” Ms Edwards said.

“His latest instalment brings together the best of Australia’s railway photographers and features 299 colour images.

“The book kicks off with the Gosford-Newcastle line and also includes an image of the famous Cadet trains at Ourimbah.”
