Labor and Union lies on bogus ‘Fair Work Taskforce’
Federal Member for Robertson Lucy Wicks MP has raised questions about the Labor Party ‘Fair Work Taskforce’ that appeared in Gosford City today.
“This so-called ‘taskforce’ is nothing but a sham put up by the Labor Party and the unions in an attempt to mislead local residents on the Central Coast,” Mrs Wicks said.
“The so-called hearings are an attempt by local union activists and Labor Party members to fraudulently present themselves as concerned workers, when the reality is far from the truth.
“In previous hearings in other states, the taskforce has been exposed for putting up people who pretend to be ordinary concerned citizens at the ‘hearings’, who are then revealed to be union activists or ALP members disseminating dishonest union propaganda.
“Such a ‘taskforce’ is not even a new idea by Labor. Prior to the 2007 election, another ‘taskforce’ of Labor MPs visited the Central Coast. Its star witness was a purported concerned local who was appearing on behalf of a so-called ‘local community group’.
“His name was Craig Thomson, the soon-to-be ALP candidate for Dobell.
“The simple fact is that this taskforce and its hearings are more like a Labor Party branch meeting than any real means of expressing concern for local workers,” Mrs Wicks said.
