MAX POTENTIAL LEADS THE WAY

At the end of another successful programme Karen McNamara, MP was able to present the Young Adult certificates to the newest Max Potential graduates during the final showcase held on Wednesday afternoon.

Surrounded by inspirational young adult and community projects, all designed to create a positive change in the community, it was evident the Max Potential programme is all about growing leaders.

Mrs McNamara was, as always, delighted to see the end result of the programme, visit the project booths and chat to the young participants about their Max Potential experience.

“Max Potential is about building lives, leadership and the future,” said Mrs McNamara. “These young students have become actively involved in accelerating their ability to lead themselves and others effectively.”

The opportunity the Max Potential programme provides for participants to impact others and their region through a community project, which is supported and partnered by local community leaders and networks, highlights the calibre of community members in Dobell who are determined to make a difference.

As always, programmes such as this are unable to run without support from the community and local organisations. “I would like to praise the contribution made by coaches and sponsors for the 2015 Max Potential programme.

Without their dedication and support, these young adults would not have been able to learn and build on the skills taught over the past 22 weeks.” “Too often we hear of the challenges faced by youth here on the Central Coast – unemployment, drugs and peer pressure to name a few.

How inspiring it is to see first-hand the positive outcomes from the Max Potential projects,” said Mrs McNamara.
